A new milestone for thumb carpometacarpal arthroplasty
Warsaw, Indiana – September 17, 2025 – KeriMedical is proud to announce that the first implantation of the TOUCH® CMC 1 prosthesis has been successfully performed in the United States, following FDA Premarket Approval (PMA) earlier this year.
This historic procedure marks a significant step forward for KeriMedical, Medartis Inc., and the field of American hand surgery. The operation was performed by Jonathan Tueting, MD, of Rush Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Aurora, Illinois. His expertise, combined with the close collaboration between KeriMedical and Medartis Inc. – United States, was instrumental in making this first U.S. implantation a success.
